Calculation limitations

SimpleFinCalc answers arithmetic questions under explicit assumptions. It does not determine what financial action is appropriate for you.

Rates are inputs, not predictions

A constant interest-rate scenario is not a promise that a savings account or investment will achieve that rate. Actual returns, fees, taxes and inflation may differ. Our growth calculators do not model investment losses or variable returns.

Loan results are not payoff quotes

A contract may use daily interest, fees, payment timing and allocation rules that differ from our monthly model. Extra principal may be restricted or subject to a charge. Ask the provider for its current terms and an official payoff figure when needed.

Budget targets are selected by you

The emergency fund example’s number of months is an editable scenario input. It is not a personalized recommendation. Subscription “savings” represent removed future annualized charges, not guaranteed refunds or completed cancellations.

Check important decisions

Inspect the assumptions, compare the relevant contract and seek appropriately qualified help when your situation requires advice. A disclaimer does not make an incorrect calculation acceptable: please report a reproducible error through Contact & corrections.
